Young Villa player Jack Grealish
Born and brought up in Birmingham to Irish parents. Played for Eire U21's, but now may be called up by England.

On Twitter loads of Paddies are moaning about him potentially switching international allegiences - I think that might well be the definition of irony.

Even Grandparents is going to far IMO.
Should stop at parents.
The Irish squad over the yrs has been farcical...the jocks are at it now too.
Also agree that if a player commits to a certain Country at U21 level...their he stays.

I think they changed the rules then Norman because Aldridge qualified through his great grandmother back in the eighties.

Re: Young Villa player Jack Grealish
Agree Swindon apart from you can't qualify through a Great Grandmother. Has to be a Granparent

Re: Young Villa player Jack Grealish
Apologies if already stated but a correction to the original thread, Grealish's parents were both born in England but 3 of his 4 grandparents were born in Ireland.

His great grandfather played for England once and also won the FA cup with Aston Villa in 1905.

I personally don't agree with the rule that a player can play for a countries U21's and then play for another country at full level but then I didn't agree with John Aldridge qualifying for Ireland through a great grandmother he never met!

I respect any player who plays for a country via parents .but what you don't do is switch once you made that decision .

Do you have to be in attendance to be offended by something?

Known to Everton fans as Zinadine Kilbane

Re: Young Villa player Jack Grealish
So Kilbane was at the match and heard the evil WHU fans chanting, did he?

Marston Hammer 11:43 Tue Sep 29
Re: Young Villa player Jack Grealish
He took offence to it even though he wasn't at the game and didn't even watch it on TV.

On a completely unrelated topic he had a new book out at the time it was in the papers.

Pub bigot

Kilbanes daughter has Down's syndrome that's why he took offence to it.

Ireland are lucky that Townsend didn't defect from humanity to play for Monkeys, he's so thick. He could be the missing link.

How the fuck does he get a job in the media, the Freemasonic cunt.

"Played youth team football" he only moved to England when he was 16 he hardly grew up in the English system.

Did you just make that up? He was born in the West Midlands and signed for Villa age 6.

Re: Young Villa player Jack Grealish
What else does everyone expect the gurning chump Kilbane to say? 'Er, I'd give all my Ireland caps back to have played for England' ?

Fact is, the cunt would never be good enough to play for England in any lifetime, so it's completely irrelevant.

Re: Young Villa player Jack Grealish
Kevin Kilbane after grassing up West Ham for usage of the word 'mong' needs a good stiff slap. Touchy because he knows someone who has Down syndrome.

As for Mr. Ireland who hails from Lancashire. If your such an Irishman, go and live and work amongst your kin. Funny thing is, the Irish that live and work in London don't seem to need to bang the drum about being from across the water, so our Kev's an insecure bellend.

I already said I thought it was shocking. Did you ignore that bit?

It's not happening everywhere the way Ireland are doing it. You convince yourself otherwise, though.
